Ohm

I was IMing with TheGenius today in regards to a comic I had sent him, since I thought he, if anyone would a. get it, and b. think it was funny.

I didn't have the comic in front of me at the time, and let's face it, I don't generally deal with these kinds of topics in my daily existence ever. Sadly my lack of knowledge quickly became painfully obvious.

TheGenius: Yes, I guess that's true. Olm.
TheGenius: Ohm is a unit of electrical resistance, named after some guy.
GreenTuna: Seems to me that if you were naming "electrical resistance" it would be named something along the lines of OHMYGODDON'TTOUCHTHATOUCH! and not something so zen as "Ohm"
TheGenius: I guess where physics is concerned, respecting and honoring old dead smart people is higher priority than the safety of stupid people.
TheGenius: Wow, that was quotable.
