MONDAY MORNING JUKEBOX
I warned you that I was going to learn the song of each new day. Well, this is what the little voices have been singing to me this morning. Take your pick:

Hello office, my old friend.
I've come to work in you again.
A new semester’s softly creeping,
I hope the students are still sleeping,
And vacation that was planted in my brain
Still remains
I miss the sound of silence.

The legend lives on from the graduates on down
Of the big place they called ‘the library’
The place, it is said, makes you feel like your dead
When the winter semester turns gloomy.
With a load of new scores, twenty-six thousand tons more
Than the dusty old bookshelves weighed empty.
That poor Fine Arts crew was a bone to be chewed
When the questions of freshmen came early.

All I want is a room somewhere,
Far away from the work out there.
With one enormous chair,
Oh, wouldn’t it be loverly?
Lots of bloggers for me to read,
Lots of snarks from the daily feed,
Mike’s Lemonade fills my need,
Oh wouldn’t it be loverly?

If you see a faded sign by the side of the road that says
One more month till… Rup’s Back! Rupert’s back yeah.
I’m heading down the Survivor highway, looking for the ASS castaways
Can’t wait to hear what Rudy has to say….
Colby got him a car, it’s a big a whale, but he’s gonna go down ‘cause Rup’s Back.
They gave him an Aztec, he camped with his mommy
But it’s too bad he won’t win the grand prize money!
Cause Rup’s back, at the little old place where he can fish forever.
Rup’s back baby, Rup’s back baby…..
