Of Wills and Ways

Every time there is a power outage, the first thing you do is round up some candles so you can see at least a little something while you wait. They are never particularly convenient, but if you are younger, there is something a little fun and "pioneer" about the whole thing. If you are older, it isn't too bad until the food starts to spoil, and then all bets are off.

Tonight I'm writing an itty-bitty blog on an itty-bitty screen (my phone) and trying to write and edit one finger swype at a time. It isn't exactly a candle in the darkness, but it is better than nothing. There's nothing pioneer about the large-scale multi-state Comcast outage tonight, but I will be content to say a small, humble (but heart-felt) thank you to Verizon for being there for me in this time of crisis.

And at least I can sleep easy knowing that my Klondike bars won't be a melted mess come morning. That, my friends, is progress.
