NaBloPoMo Countdown

November is traditionally the month for NaNoWriMo, otherwise known as National Novel Writing Month. For those of us who cannot manage cranking out a 50,000 word novella in thirty days, an alternative is available.

NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) will also be running during the month of November. The instructions are fairly simple:

"What the heck is going on here?" you ask. Well, it's pretty simple. You get yourself a blog, if you don't have one already -- and don't mind me if I'm stupefied at the idea that there's someone left in the English speaking world without their own blog. Then you look at the calendar, and when the whole world goes, "Oh, I can't believe they're already playing Christmas music in the warden's office!" you'll know it's November and that is the month in which you post something to your blog every day, in accordance with the National Blog Posting Month challenge!

Not too bad, eh? Of course for some of us who also participate in the December Holidailies write-a-thon, this means two months of daily blogging. Can I do it? We'll see. You may be reading to-do lists and a million memes, but I'm going to try to crank it out. At least if it's not a novel, it doesn't have to have a plot.

And here is a challenge for you, dear readers. If you don't have a blog (and contrary to the quote above, I don't think everybody in the world has to have one, so no worries), why don't you pledge to leave a comment every day? If I'm going to write, you should write back, even if it's only to say, "Nice grocery list. Don't forget to buy bananas."

I'd really appreciate it.

I think about reading your blog every day, but without a computer at home I only get to it about once a week.

And I've thought about about a blog - but again, without a computer...
and my title has already been taken. (I just asked your boyfriend and G. identified www.bradinfluence.com as existing).
I could do a much, much better job, but oh well.

LOL - I just KNOW I won't be able to write daily, so this is the best alternative.
I pledge to leave a comment every day I visit (can't promise it will be daily though - old age, keep forgetting where to go).
Ha! Found the RSS button, still no guarantee that I will remember to click it, but it sure helps :)
