WAITING ON A MIRACLE
It's 4:30pm. I know my systems guru has been looking at Bessie because she called me twice with questions. I still don't know the disease, much less the cure. The last known problem was my modem wasn't even being recognized. This is potentially very bad, as it was one thing that was actually continuing to work while Office went boomcrash. I'm hoping that no additional news is good news and the modem that was lost is now found. Amazing Grace, yada yada yada.
In the miraculous news on the gridiron, The Lions actually won yesterday. Boy, wouldn't you hate to be the person who roots for the Oakland Raiders? Sorry Raiders fans. I guess everybody gets to win once in awhile. Go Lions! *meow*
The other piece of news that truly is miraculous is this British Doctor, Ranulph Fiennes, who, along with his jogging buddy, successfully completed seven marathons in seven days on six continents. It would have been seven continents but they had trouble getting to Antarctica. Seven marathons in seven days. On the news I heard the recommended time between marathons is three weeks. Their marathon route was: Patagonia (Chile), Falkland Islands, Sydney, Singapore, London, Cairo and New York. Now that's what I call an Amazing Race.
