GET DOWN, MOSES
I'm getting geared up for my annual how-long-can-I-stay-awake-through-the-televised Ten Commandments. I don't know what I love so much about this movie, but when you combine Charleton Heston and his post-Sinai Opera News Hair with Yul Bryner (and a bunch of other people), plus a freaking awesome soundtrack by my buddy Elmer Bernstein and the ultra cheesiest special effects (sweet in those days), it just spells a good time. Unfortunately, when it's on TV, you get eighty jillion commercials, and I'm lucky to make it to the first plague.

Ooooo, I wish I had me a bag of plagues right now. Then I could "Get Down, Moses" and Party at the Red Sea. It fits in my groovy Palm Sunday theme when I was asked today if I was singing "Right On, Jesus!" Um, no. That would be "Ride"...
