Nothing in particular so far today, just some odds and ends to clean up.

Yes, it's tax day. Yes I did them. Yes, I didn't do them until last night. But they're done, and will be mailed during daylight hours, saving me the time and embarrassment of driving through the post-office at 11:45pm. I must say, I'll miss the camera crews, the partying postal workers earning fiple overtime, the protesters and the law enforcement officers making me drive miles out of my way so I can turn around and come home. Tell the Shrub and the Gov I'm ready for my check...Now!

Pied Piper of Hamelin

I don't think I followed up on this topic. TinyTuna auditioned for a children's community theatre production of The Pied Piper of Hamelin. She made callbacks and had a good audition. Overall my biggest concern was the fact that we would miss the first two weeks of rehearsal because of vacation. Well, good news to the budding thespian -- she made the show. Her role is "Hauptschwartz" (or some other generic German sounding name), which when translated means "she who speaks with all the other townspeople on stage." I think it's a true "Hark who goes there? Hooray! Hooray! The Piper saved the day!" kind of role. But that's just fine. TinyTuna is happy. It gives her a chance to wear costumes and makeup and get applause and flowers. She'll get to spend time with other kids (and adults) who love the theatre.

Well, well, well. It's not exactly the Jets and the Sharks, but it seems my boyfriend is going to be challenged by the mutant offspring of LifeonHold's boyfriend. I'm just not quite sure how I feel about this whole state of affairs. The new A9 search engine is interesting, for sure, but so far, it's not enough to make me switch. I am, however, intrigued with the ability to do a word search within a book, and have it display that particular page. I'll have to keep my eyes open for that one.

What a night!!

I'll be putting a padlock on those Survivor Fantasy League cellar doors so the riff-raff don't get out and mess up the place.
